Alicia Northridge
Director
Alicia founded Innov8 Events after the pandemic pause, turning precious time with her two daughters into a moment of clarity about how events should be delivered. With a Master’s in Event Management from the University of Derby (2008), she brings UK sporting hospitality and New Zealand corporate-event experience to every project. Innov8 operates as an extension of your team, delivering end-to-end event experiences that align with business goals and spark memorable moments. Outside work, she’s a mum to Kayla and Harper, loves travel, Whittaker’s hazelnut chocolate, and a classic mojito.

Jess Josephson
Senior Event Manager
Jess has been in the events industry for around 25 years, she brings a breadth of experience across corporate travel, venues, and weddings — essentially living and breathing events her entire career.
She loves meeting new people and piecing together every element of an event like a jigsaw puzzle, ensuring all the details align perfectly for a seamless experience.
Outside of work, Jess is passionate about travel, exploring new cultures, and seeking out fresh experiences. Alongside her husband, she runs New Zealand’s largest junior surf club, where over 550 enthusiastic kids hit the beach on Sunday mornings in summer. Whether supporting the next generation of surf lifesavers or cheering them on at competitions, she brings the same energy and teamwork she values in every event she delivers.
Claire Klaasen
Senior Event Manager
Claire has been in the events industry for 12 years, bringing fresh energy and experience to the team. She has worked across media, marketing, and grocery/retail, and now enjoys partnering with Innov8’s clients from a wide range of industries.
Her favourite part of events is pack-in days, when all the hard work comes to life and every team is on site, working together toward the same goal.
Originally from South Africa, Claire now calls New Zealand home and spends most of her spare time with her two wonderful kids, who keep her busy outside of events.
Samantha Neary
Event Manager
Sam has been in the events industry for four years — a self-confessed newbie who’s already bringing fresh enthusiasm and creativity to every project.
Her career began in healthcare administration while studying for a BA in Anthropology and Sociology, before moving into the not-for-profit sector, where she discovered a love of organizing fundraising events that connect people and create impact.
Her favourite part of events is that no two days are ever the same — the fast pace and constant variety deliver that perfect adrenaline rush she thrives on.
Outside of work, you’ll likely find her walking on her local beach, picking up one of several half-finished craft projects, or immersed in whatever video game currently has her hooked.
Phoebe Hilliam
Event Administrator
Phoebe has worked across various industries including FMCG, recruitment, and legal, with her roles always featuring an events element — from internal celebrations like Christmas parties to client events, workshops, and representing brands at tradeshows as a merchandiser and sales rep.
Phoebe loves the fast-paced nature of the events world and the variety that comes with it.
Phoebe grew up Irish dancing in Wellington, NZ, and has since toured professionally, performing in theatres throughout Australia, New Zealand and the UK. If she’s not planning an event, you’ll likely find her in the studio dancing, keeping active, or catching up with friends.
Tui
Head of Security & Snacks
Meet our most loyal team member, proudly serving as Head of Security & Snacks. Always on high alert (especially around unattended food), Tui takes her role very seriously—whether it's greeting visitors, conducting thorough bag inspections, or ensuring no crumb goes to waste.
With a sharp nose for trouble and an even sharper instinct for snack opportunities, Tui keeps the office safe, morale high, and tails wagging. When not on duty, you’ll find her napping between meetings or supervising the team with quiet authority.
